Ways to Give

St. Thomas the Apostle is blessed by gifts to the school that support our mission to prepare inner-city children to "create a blessed community". Tax deductible opportunities for giving to provide scholarships, program support and future needs of St. Thomas are many.

Annual Gifts
Gifts to St. Thomas Heritage help offset the school's basic operating costs which are not fully covered by tuition. Gifts may also be support the scholarship fund or it may be an unrestricted gift.

Stocks or Securities
Gifts received via the transfer of stock offer the donor a tax deduction. Capital gains on the amount of appreciation are avoided and donor receives a tax deduction for the full market value.

Reunion Gifts
Is your class celebrating a reunion year? Your gift, combined with those of your classmates, makes a difference to your alma mater.

Matching Gifts
many employers have programs to match the charitable contributions of their employees, doubling or even tripling the amount of your gift.

Memorial or Honorary Gifts
A gift in the name of a loved one is meaningful way to pay tribute to a friend or a family member.

Bequest
For the donor, a bequest is a gift today. Even though St. Thomas the Apostle may not receive the financial benefit for sometime, a bequest is a  meaningful commitment. A will or living trust is one of the easiest ways to make a gift to St. Thomas.

Life Insurance
An individual may make a gift of a life insurance policy to St. Thomas. The individual may retain ownership of the policy but designate the school as the beneficiary, so that the donor's estate will receive a charitable contribution at his or her death.
